Growing Mississippi Clinic Launches Website To Streamline Operations


Columbus Orthopaedic Clinic and its on-premise Outpatient Center are growing by leaps and bounds! Today, Whiteboard it launched a new website, designed to not only showcase the staff and services of this state of the art Mississippi facility, but also to streamline communication. The Clinic alone can see upwards of 500 patients per day and that means A LOT of phone calls. Everything from prescription refill requests, patient inquiries, appointment requests, directions, and job applications are now routed through the new site, to reduce the volume of calls to the Clinic. Whiteboard took on the significant challenge of streamlining both external and internal communications via a custom CMS which routes a specific request to the appropriate staff member responsible for that task. In addition to facilitating communication, patients can now access all the forms necessary for a visit and have them printed and filled out prior to arrival, expediting the appointment process as well.

Along with these added functionalities, Whiteboard did a complete design overhaul, creating a fresh new look, and vibrant themes that can be easily changed with the seasons. The fully responsive site also features a custom “Scrapbook” that captures the lighter side of the community and staff, via integration with an Instagram account.

Not only is the website expanding but, as the Birmingham Business Journal reported in October 2014, Brasfield & Gorrie should be completing an 8,000 square foot addition in the next few months! Congratulations!

New Website to Drive UA Alumni Group’s Fundraising Efforts

Whiteboard it is pleased to announce The University of Alabama Jefferson County Alumni Chapter’s updated website is officially live! The site was redesigned by the Whiteboard team over the last month, and now includes new features such as:

  • Annual and recurring membership options

  • Self editable profile and membership information
  • Payment portals for donations, membership, events and products
  • Newsletter integration with Constant Contact

“Our goal, at the chapter, was to improve the experience for our alumni, friends, and fans,” said Susan J. Birmingham Startup, Bidsters, Wants to Revolutionize The Contracting Game

Whiteboard is pleased to announce our client Bidsters will be officially open for business this Friday, June 6!

Bidsters is an Alabama Launchpad winning company, founded by University of Alabama College of Engineering graduate Ben Bickerstaff. The idea for Bidsters came while working as a co-op employee for a construction company during college. The proposal process for General Contractor and Subcontractors is very time consuming and Ben is hoping Bidsters can fulfill the shortcomings in the existing system.

 According to a Press Release from the University of Alabama,  “Bidsters will not change what the construction industry does, but it will give them a tool to more easily do what they already do,” Bickerstaff said. “Bidsters gives users the ability to manage and interact with their already existing network, but it also gives them the ability to find new contacts outside of their established relationships.”

Whiteboard has been proud to assist Ben in the development of this site and look forward to continuing to work together to grow the Bidsters network. In fact, Phase 2 is already in the works!
