Matt is an associate developer at Whiteboard IT.  Since coming on board with Whiteboard IT, Matt has worked on Whiteboard IT’s most active applications and sites, adding new features and enhancing usability.

A programmer by trade and a tech enthusiast by nature, Matt has worked on and with computers for well over a decade.  Starting with hardware upgrades and replacement, Matt became very familiar with the anatomy of personal computers.  Driven by unabated curiosity in all things computer related, Matt quickly learned not only the hardware aspects of computing, but the software components as well.

A continued curiosity in technology continued throughout high school, leading into the pursuit of a degree in Computer Science through Troy University in Troy, Alabama.  During the pursuit of his degree, Matt operated EzNet Computer Services, specializing in providing Troy and the surrounding areas desktop support and computer repair services.  Also while attending Troy University, Matt met his wife, Kristy, whom he married in July of 2001.  During this time, Matt also supervised and oversaw the daily operations of Troy Refuel, a Military Contract Refuel Facility located at the Troy Municipal Airport (KTOI).

After graduation, Matt moved to Birmingham, Alabama with his wife in pursuit of a career in the tech industry.  Shortly after arriving, Matt began working with Open Solutions Inc as a Software Support Analyst, supporting some of the nations leading financial institutions and their clients with financial software support.  During Matt’s time at Open Solutions Inc, Matt was called on by his superiors to lead instructional meetings and webinars for clients and employees alike.

While working as a support analyst, Matt continued his education in software development in his free time – often coding utilities and games in Python for friends and personal use.  Although happy as a Software Analyst, Matt had a continued desire to assume a more technical, software development role and so in 2010, Matt left Open Solutions and shortly thereafter began working for Whiteboard IT.

Since coming to Whiteboard IT, Matt has worked on many exciting and cutting edge applications and websites.  Refusing to be defined by industry ‘standards’, Whiteboard IT specializes in finding creative and ‘outside of the box’ solutions to address their client’s wants and needs.  While at Whiteboard IT, Matt has worked with many technologies, including, but not limited to, C#, ASP, ASP.MVC, SQL, CouchDB, Node.js, Javascript and jQuery – bringing the best in available technology to the clients Whiteboard IT.
